Family Support
"Working Together to Strengthen Families"
The program aims to strengthen families by providing assistance and support to children and parents to reduce
tension and 'breakdown' of the family unit. It also aims to assist parents with decisions that affect their
family situation. The program offers individual and group counselling; parenting and child management skills;
advocacy; support for children, young people and parents; referral to other services and seminars and
workshops. The Family Support Service is for families experiencing difficult personal and relationship issues
or families needing support during stressful times.
